Livance, proudly hosted its annual Dealer Awards in association with Midea on 8 May, welcoming a record-breaking 250 guests.

Held under the theme: ‘Green Vision, Blue Future’, the event celebrated performance, partnership and growth, while marking a new chapter by including not just air conditioning (AC) dealers, but also retail partners from the home appliance sector – highlighting Livance and Midea’s broader commitment to innovation and collaboration across all product categories.
The event highlights included:
- Dealer recognition and engagement: Honouring exceptional partners who have gone above and beyond in driving growth and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Product superiority and innovation: Midea showcased its diverse product portfolio, emphasising smart technology, energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Driving business growth: Engaging discussions focused on how Midea can continue to empower South Africa homes and businesses through sustainable responsible solutions
Opening the evening, Craig Fowlds, director of Livance, spoke of the growth of the Midea brand in South Africa over the past year, particularly within the AC segment. He reaffirmed Livance’s ambitious vision for Midea : “To be the best value brand by product category and to become the undisputed No. 2 air conditioning brand in South Africa by 2024/25.”
Graeme Takis, director at Livance, followed with an overview of the home appliances division. He emphasised Midea’s core philosophy of ‘Value +’—offering affordable luxury through quality, competitive pricing and a robust supply chain that supports both retailers and consumers.
Takis shared encouraging updates across all categories, noting substantial market share growth in refrigeration, laundry, cooking and small domestic appliances.
The keynote address was delivered by Paris Li, general manager of Midea – Middle East and Africa, who outlined the global strategy of the Midea Group, and reaffirmed its long-term vision, emphasising innovation and expansion in emerging markets.
Livance concluded the evening by recognising and honouring the outstanding performance of it’s partners across the AC and retail sectors.
