Danfoss strengthens compressor portfolio with acquisition of Palladio Compressors.

Danfoss has expanded its compressor portfolio through the strategic acquisition of Palladio Compressors, enhancing its capabilities for large-scale HVAC/R systems and supporting the use of natural and low-GWP refrigerants. The move builds on a successful partnership with Palladio, particularly in high-lift heat pumps and large cooling applications, and introduces the new Danfoss Screw range to meet diverse industrial and commercial needs.
Comprehensive portfolio expansion
As part of the Danfoss LEAP 2030 strategy, the acquisition marks a major step in broadening the company’s compressor solutions – from light commercial comfort systems to large-scale process cooling, heating and refrigeration. Over the past two years, Danfoss and Palladio have explored technological synergies, particularly in high-temperature and high-lift heat pump applications. Integrating Palladio’s screw compressors with Danfoss technologies will deliver competitive, high-performance solutions across a variety of markets.

Expanding market reach and competitive advantage
The Palladio range brings advanced screw technology to markets with limited non-captive screw compressor options. This technology is especially suited for mid-range energy intensity applications, offering customers solutions that balance size, energy efficiency and payback requirements. The integration allows Danfoss to address an underserved segment and expand its presence in emerging markets with natural and low-GWP refrigerants.
The new Danfoss Screw range will benefit from increased investment in R&D, production, and sales capacity, ensuring robust market support. By combining screw compressors with its existing suite of compressors, valves, controls, heat exchangers and sensors, Danfoss continues to deliver greener, more efficient solutions worldwide.
