SAIRAC Johannesburg to host advanced psychrometrics course

This course will be presented by Mr Jannie Potgieter. He holds a B.Eng, Mechanical: Studied Mechanical Engineering at the North West University, Potchefstroom campus and a M.Eng: Completed a Masters in Engineering at the North West University, Potchefstroom campus. Mr Potgieter currently works as a consultant in the fields of HVAC and energy efficiency.

The skills gap found in industry is well known and much talked about. These courses are aimed at the gap that exists between the artisan / technician level and engineers.

Course Outcomes:

  • Thermodynamic principles as applied to psychrometrics.
  • Analyse important cooling, heating, humidification, and dehumidification processes as well as ventilation processes on a psychrometric chart.
  • Use psychrometric charts when performing psychrometric calculations.
  • Use psychrometric software when performing psychrometric calculations.

This will be an online Zoom course over four evenings.

18h00 till 21h00

Cost:

R2 002 for members

R2 570 for non-members

Additional Information:

Candidates must have attended the Introduction to Psychrometric course or have a good understanding of Psychometrics.

A laptop is required on the final night.
