The MC was Michelle McGowan, marketing manager, who welcomed guests and broke down the morning’s proceedings.
After a short video that went into detail on LG’S ThinQ product range, Ahn opened the ceremony, also welcoming guests and giving a background of the LG brand. He shared that the call centre and the Academy are branches of LG that are available to assist with any queries or enquiries. “The move is a strategy to better position to grow by continuing to provide to our customers,” he said. Park and Lee also shared a few words of appreciation.

The Academy is fully registered with the necessary accreditations in place. The Academy offers various courses related to air conditioning like installation stages related to piping, pressure testing and vacuuming, electrical, and starting up. It also goes through case studies and provides a hydro kit introduction. Certificates are handed out to cadets. “They also receive an accreditation card that’s valid for a year. They of course, come back after a year for a refresher course,” concludes Gower.
An LG Brandshop has also opened in Durban.
