In March, Samsung held four roadshows across the country to show off its award-winning Wind-Free air-conditioning technology to its various dealers.
Samsung Electronics SA introduced its complete Wind-Free Cooling System Line-up to installers around South Africa in March. The line-up on display included the first Wind-Free four-way, mini four-way and one-way cassettes, adding to the existing Wind-Free residential product.
The Johannesburg event took place at the Fourways Airconditioning head office on 12 March, with about 70 attendees. The Cape Town event was next at the city’s Fourways Airconditioning show room on 15 March. On 20 March it was Durban’s turn with about 50 people who attended the event at The Bond Shell. The last roadshow took place in Port Elizabeth on 27 March at The Plantation, which hosted about 35 people.
The formalities were kept short as select Samsung specialists took turns to explain the technology and product innovation to guests, taking them through the benefits and key features of the range.
After the presentations concluded, the Samsung team demonstrated its Wind-Free residential unit in an experience booth, designed to showcase the innovative technology. Guests could step inside and feel for themselves (or rather not feel).
The Wind-Free air conditioners push air through thousands of micro holes in the panel, producing a dispersed and gentle flow of air, which is defined as ‘still air’. This eliminates the cold draft and uneven cooling experienced with conventional cassettes.
“The key here is that the all of the holes create a still but cool air flow that infiltrates the room gently and softly,” explains Robert Larkan, national sales manager – Digital Solutions at Samsung. “The smart comfort operation enables maintenance of optimal room condition automatically by detecting not only the temperature but the relative humidity.”
“Samsung is proud to continue its heritage of innovation and will continue to push innovation in the field of air conditioning,” adds Larkan.
